George Tan

Watch Collector & Founder of The Omega Watch Club Singapore

“Omega is the first brand I developed an affinity with, and I love the brand till today.”

The Panelist

George is a veteran watch collector and a fervent loyalist of Omega timepieces, which is noted not only by his peers, but also the media and even the 174 years old Swiss maison.

From the “original moonwatch”, Ref. ST 105.012 to all three series of Speedmaster Snoopy, when it comes to the Moonwatch, George has the most desirable collections that any serious collectors would applaud. However, his quest extends beyond curating the most iconic of Speedmasters as you can find various legacy models from the Genève, Constellation and Seamaster series, as well as fine timepieces from other prestige maisons in his collection. Of course, Omega watches still form the core of his collection, and this affinity developed way back when he was still dating his now wife, Ms. Emilyn Lee (@femalewatchcollector).

As he used to comb for hidden treasures in the now defunct Sungei Road flea market, Ms. Lee brought to his attention on “Focus”. It was then he began putting his focus into the curation of Omega timepieces.

George is always ready to share his experience and knowledge on Omega watches, and his passion is felt whenever he starts talking about his watches. Having established the Omega Watch Club in Singapore, George Tan is not only an ardent collector but he is also a true-blue advocate and ambassador of Omega timepieces, and the watch collecting culture as a whole.

Watch Panel

George Tan shall be participating in Session 9 of Singapore Watch Fair's Talking Time Watch Panel. With his expertise and passion for Omega watches, the session's topic - The Ohm Universe - Beyond the Moon & Stars bring us beyond the legacy of the Moonwatch and Constellation collections.
